Frank Evans (b. 1873) - Solo Horn, Kettering Town Band

Frank Evans was born on December 21st, 1873. He commenced his band life in October 1888, taking tenor horn in the Kettering Rifle Reserve Band, working hard until the following September when he was admitted into the band proper, leaving his old instrument to take up the flugel. He returned to the tenor horn the following year. The band elected him solo horn player, a position he held for three years. He signed for Kettering Town in December last. Frank's father was secretary to the Kettering Rifles Band for many years.

Although young, Frank is a fine tenor horn player, he has a superb tone and is a capital executant. He is destined to be heard much of in the future.
