Lancaster City Brass

Lancaster City Brass is the latest in a long history of brass bands in Lancaster. The very first of the present type of band was the Standfast Band which became the more famous Storey's of Lancaster Band.

The Storey's band survived till the late 1990s when it became City of Lancaster (Storey's) Band.Falling membership prompted an amalgamation with another band in the city but as with many such ventures it didn't quite work out so a few dedicated members broke away and formed the present band, Lancaster City Brass.

The band is now in a reasonably healthy state but like most bands would benefit from a few more players, more of that in the following pages.
